A cyclone was drive into the southeast coast on Monday, for which atleast four people were killed and authorities moved thousands of people from low-lying areas. Cyclone Vardah hitted Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and also neighboring state Andhra Pradesh, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The Strong wind of up to 87 mph downtrodden the show-witted populated coast, deracinate trees and bringing down electricity pylons. All the Flights for Chennai airport were canceled, railway transport to the area drape and educational institutions were closed.  

For Vardah very heavy rainfall are forecasted after few hours, permeate the city with heavy rains before mitigate in potency, the NDMA said. A 'storm efflux' will be about one meter high. Atleast more than 23,000 people in Tamil Nadu were been moved to relief centers, with plans for additional people to be evict if needed. And more than 10,000 people from two districts of Andhra Pradesh state had also been moved, the disaster management commissioner, M.V. Seshagiri Babu, said. Fishermen were warned not to venture out to sea for next 36 hours, and endorse residents to stay in safe places.
